Another Dutchman is waiting on his Blueish Silver Civic

Hi everybody,

My name is Dennis, 26 years old and I am also from The Netherlands. This is a great site!! Lots of info and tweaks for the Honda Civic!!
On the first of July I also ordered the new Honda Civic 1.8i Sport. It will be the Blueish Silver with the Grand Prix package on it. At this moment i'm waiting for some information about the Lambo doors (Lamborgini Style doors) that will be released soon for this car made by LSD in Germany. Really cool, but i think very expensive.

My dealer said that the car will be expected in December or January ...... so the next couple of months I still have to wait .

Kind regards,
Dennis

Welcome Dennis, I hope the wait will not be too bad for you. I am sure you will enjoy the sense of fun and community we seem to have here, its a happy place to be, very little bad karma floating around.

I looked at the Lambo doors, as I recall they were around €1500 or something around that figure. If you have looked at the website you might have seen the videos, they look a little wobbly when opening. I thought they would be pretty cool, but the fragility of them let them down in my mind, and also its a company car, and they might have issues with me modding it. Still, I might yet buy it in 4 years when the lease is up, give it to the Wife along with a set of LSD's.

I didn't see the videos before I added my post.... and your right.... they are wobbly when opening. I also have seen a working one in real life (not on the new Civic), and they where not as wobbly like on the movie.... Ahh well.. first the car then the gadgets .

Is there someone on this forum also with the Blueish Silver Civic and the Grand Prix package? I only have seen/found pictures of the back/tail spoiler and a lot pictures of the grand prix package in other colors.... but not in Blueish Silver...

Welcome to the site Dennis. I reckon your wait will be worth it, it's an excellent car.

I stumbled on this site shortly before my Civic was delivered and it made the last of my wait more bearable. Hope it does for you too!

Thanks all for the great replies... I know that its worth waiting, but I allready have read almost the whole forum ..... so now I have to wait even longer haha. Does anyone have pictures of the Blueish Silver Civic with the Grand Prix pack? Today I have seen the thirth Civic on the road.... Strange actually..... very long waiting lines before the delivery of the car, but you see almost none on the road..... SO WHERE ARE THE CARS......

Welcome RaZer. Just imagine, if you'd ordered it three months ago, you'd be driving it now !!! . Never mind, It'll soon pass.

YES!!!! Today my Honda dealer called me that my car has arrived today. I ordered the car on 01 July 2006 so I have waited almost 4,5 months. 2 months earlier then expected. They are going to fit the Image Pack (Called: Grand Prix Package in Holland) and at the end of this week the car is ready and waiting for me. Tomorrow I'm going to snap some pictures of the car and give them the "bug/fault list" from this website so they can check every known fault before I will take the car home. Pictures will be uploaded when I have then

I'm so happy!!!!

Kind regards,
Dennis
