wish I'd not read through the forum about the faults people have had though, its kinda off putting.

so Ha'way folks re-assure me I've made the right choice

Don't worry people do find this site to moan and complain a bit but it is a great car and looks brilliant on the road and you seem to have a smile on your face everytime you drive it too. Even people that have had problems in the past still love their civic.

Congrats on your brand new car

I must admit i felt the same way, especially regarding the suspension faults and rattles, suppose thats what the warranty is there for.

Welcome, and congratulation for your car !

Don't worry, most of us are happy with our car. And don't forget after having driven your car for some times to answer Pottsy's satisfaction survey

Don’t worry mate you’ll love the car. I have just bought a 1.8 SE. No problems so far (touch wood). Don't suppose your buying it from Springfield by any chance. They are generally very good especially the Sunderland branch. Don’t be shy though if your not happy let them know asap and they should sort you out. I must point out that I don’t work for Springfield or Honda. I just love the car and the brand. Mill Volvo could learn a thing or two!! Haven’t used DeVries in Stockton so can’t comment.

Enjoy bonnie lad. This is my third Honda and will defiantly not be my last

yes civicfan, springfield Sunderland it is.
I popped down to de'viries Stockton so i could play bat and ball with them both for the best deal.
however i did not like the salesman at Stockton so Springfield got my money

Good man! I defiantly rate Sunderland above the others. I was invited to the launch of the new civic at the Durham branch and found the dealer principle to be very smug and a stereotypical example of a dodgy double glazing salesman. He didn't get my money! I then tried the Newcastle branch as it was more convenient for work. I was fobbed off with a young trainee sales lad who couldn't make a decision to save his life without his managers permission. They wouldn’t budge on a discount on the list price and offered a silly part ex on my old civic. They didn’t get my money either. After a brief but disastrous experience of owning a Volvo which lasted all of 6 months, I went back to Sunderland and became the brand new owner of a civic in less than a week start to finish! Can’t fault them really. Servicing is always good there too. Another customer on the parker’s web site stated he felt they were the best in the business and I have to say I agree based on my experience. I’m sure they are not perfect but then who is. They just seem to get it right more often, usually 99.9% of the time. I haven’t been to Springfield in Tynemouth but will stick with Sunderland I think. I wonder if I could get commission for plugging the dealer!!

Hope you enjoy the new car and don’t forget to print off the check list from this site. My car was fine on delivery but you never know.

Cheers

In my spare room on the computer. Why where are you Sorry couldn't resist that.
I'm up in the sticks with the woolly backs near Stanley. How about you Are you local - (cue League of Gentlemen sketch)!!. It’s a bit like the village of Royston Vasey here actually come to think of it.

Actually there are a fair few civics up here. In fact one appeared within weeks of the launch back in Jan 06. I think the owner thought I was a car jacker or stalker cos I followed her every where that day just to get a closer look at it!! ... And the car!! ha, ha, ha, LoL

As it happens I'm red n white. The BAWB’s have too much money and not a lot of passion. Our gang have always played with their hearts. Just wish they would use their feet a bit more and win some cups!! LoL

Cheers bud.

I pick my first new one up today, just another 5 hours to go. But having previosuly had a Renault Scenic( sorry for swearing) and having been on the Scenic forum, you will find that all cars have faults, but what seems to be different with the Civic is, even though there seems to be some faults, people still love the car. 4hrs 55min to go
