Hi
Found this site by complete luck after doing a search on google.
I also found out about the new Civic by chance. My wife was considering buying a Jazz so we went to a local Honda dealer in Weston - Super - Mare for a test drive, whilst there I was looking around the cars when I came accoss the Civic. I fell in love with it straight away and within 2 hours had brought a silver 1.8 Type S GT which was a pre reg with 5 miles on the clock. I have now had the car for 10 days and must say that it has to be the best car I have ever owned (Including my last BMW). The attention to detail from the Honda garage was something that I have never experienced before.
I would also like to say that I think that this site is very helpful and would like to thank those who put in all the hard work to maintain it.

Dave

Hi Dave. I'm welcoming folk to the forum as if I'd been a member for years instead of not much more than 10 minutes! I had a similar experience to yours. Went in to check out the Accord but walked straight past it to the Civic. I had a test run in the 1.8ES which was superb, so I can't wait to see my EX with the SatNav and rocket launchers and whatever else they've packed into it.

Thanks for the welcome
I was lucky as my car was a pre reg I test drove it on the Wednesday & picked it up on the Friday, now done just over 700 miles and it is starting to loosen up and drives like a dream. I have read much about the visibility from the rear window but I have no problems whatsoever seeing out of the rear, I have more problems with the front as I cant see the bonnet when I am parking and usualy leave a 3 foot gap !!!

Hey, welcome to the place. It's a wonderful place to find out pretty much anything about the new civic.

Good to hear you have your car, some of us sadly have to wait for it to come and use this site to ease our addiction. Glad you are enjoying yourself.

Hi Brodick
The wife test drove the Jazz but thought that the shape was a bit "Boxy" so is still looking, the Civic is mine and trying to deter the wife from driving it as she has a habit of kerbing the wheels
