Removed HU - Need Extended Wiring Loom

This is going to be a daft question.

Ive removed the head unit and done EVERYTHING else to install my sound system, all i need to do now is create a extended wiring loom for the head unit adaptors.

My issues are.

1) I can attach the two green plugs (Connector D & E as per Audio connections - Civinfo Wiki).
However the other connector (A) is being used by my new head unit with the ISO connectors to power this, but this connector A is also needed by the original head unit to give it power so that the dash comes on with all the air conditioning instructions etc.

How do you over come this? (If i need to extend the wires and run a feed from one to another, where do i get the conencting unit from? Which wire numbers are needed (as per the above link) so that i dont have to take ages copying all the wires across?)

2) Any easy way to extend the original head units connector D & E cables?

You guidance would be much appreciated!

Regards

Can you power the new head unit by another method, thereby leaving A available for the old head unit?

I take it you have a non-sat nav car?

Connectors D and E need to go into the old head unit

Connector B is for the steering controls, so if you have an adapter it will connect to this.

Connector A is the difficult one.

For my Kenwood stereo I had to do the following -

A2, A3, A7, A8, A11, A12, A15 and A16 - speakers - connected to new stereo

A9, A10, A14 and A17 had to be connected to both stereos

A1, A4, A6 and A13 had to be connected to the old head unit only.

I could not find the connectors anywhere, they are bespoke and honda do not seem to want to sell them.

My solution involved a pair of wire cutters, a lot of new wire and a soldering iron.

I cut off the A connector and made a wiring loom so this plugged into the back of the old head unit, and the new iso connector plugged into the new Kenwood unit.

I also had an aerial adapter, this was tricky to work out what to do, put it turns out that pin F3 has to be connected to ACC (A14).

Thanks for the assistance.

Its the non sat nav unit.

After a heavy night of thoughts, followed by a curry and some beers, I headed to Halfords. They were really helpful, the managed to find wiring loom kit which duplicated both the power unit and iso connectors, which in turn enables me to get two power units from one lead.

Its called a Honda ISO T Harness. Part number is CT 10 H D03, costs £30.

Now i just need to extend connector D & E then I should be away!

Thanks again for the help.

I have just moved my HU into the boot in a non-destructive way i.e. not cutting into the original loom, I hope to post a detailed how to in the next few days, if interested I can PM you when I have the how to completed. I actually found a connector for the 10 pin green plug that fitted perfectly.
