New head unit without hide the original in the glove box?
Hi,
I´m an 1.8 Sport Civic Owner from spain. I´m thinking about update my ICE. Well, I want to change my head unit to an Kenwood 7200 or similar, but i don´t want to hide the original head unit in the glove Box. I Know that in others countries the 1.4 i-dsi Base version (lower than comfort version) don´t have head unit, and the climate display works correctly, and the time buttons (witch are in my head unit) are in the same display. Anybody knows the Parts ID that correspond to that LCD? P.D. I know that the double din Fascia part is Pocket under the radio:39006S30G01 Fascia:77251SMGG00ZA but need the rest of the parts (LCD, buttons, etc.) thanks!!! |

Hmm,
looking the description, it seems like the total of the parts in the scheme were used to fit a original head unit in a 1.4 i-dsi base without one, but the part description of the display (#6) seems to be what i need.... Thanks for the info! Anyone knows something more about it? |

Sorry, but I do not speak spanish. Even Google translate did not help too much...
EPC is a bit strange as it not only shows what belongs to the chosen model but also all those parts which belong to other models. This is why you see the radio here. I did not find this HVAC display in the electronic service manual so I do not have any information about how it connects and to what. I know that many experts are here so hopefully they can help you with the details. |

In Sweden, the base version of the "R" also has no radio.
One member on here has one of those with aftermarket ICE. Does not really answer your question, but confirms that you are right, some version of Civic must have this display sorted out without headunit. I think these however do not have airconditioning. |

Thanks for the info. I know that older versions of type R (7th gen) in Spain has no head unit too, but the new model has it. FWH, do you know if 1.4 i-dsi base has climate/air conditioning? If it´s true, the LCD display of that model would work correctly without the original head unit...

Well, I´m watching the polonian 5d civic catalog and the 1.4 i-dsi base without head unit has no climate or AC...Anybody knows if exists a 5d-3d-type-R civic model which mounts climate and no head unit?
Thanks! |
