Standard Stereo Diagnostics / Firmware?

Howdy all, I have been trying to see if there is such as thing as a updated firmware for the Standard Type-R head unit? (Panasonic CQ-MH5571LC if I am not mistaken?).

I just wondered if anyone had stumbled across any diagnostic mode for this head unit, or any firmware updates?

Or even a service manual relating to the HU?

Regards

Stewart

That list in the wiki will work for yours i.e non-sat nav radio, it's only the top on (Sat Nav diagnostics) that won't apply

The climate control is not much use, but the radio diagnostic & speaker test are fun.

Stu,

There is post which tells you a way of checking what firmware you have, but I cant seem to find it . It's quite an old post, but it also said what the lastest firmware was at the time.

When I do find it, I'll let you know.

If it starts with 02 or 03 then there is an upgrade available.

A few people have asked about this in the past, so I'll post it in the Wiki and do a 'How to'
