£140 fitted seems good value when you factor in ipod connectivity.

Can feel the moths trying to burst out my wallet on this one.

Chris
if its ipod connectivity you need the connects2 box that you have to buy anyway comes with a rca>stero jack cable , and maplins do a 2RCA input>1 RCA output switch for 9.99. here Maplin > Selector Switch

I cant see on the accustic solutions if the unit is removeable from the car once installed - can it?

if you mean the controller, no not really, it can be reomved but would leave the bracket and lead hanging around. The black box has a set of RCA (phono) in sockets and a 3.5mm jack to 2 x RCA (phono) plug lead that you can use to connect your MP3 player. The on/off switch on the top of the control unit cycles through on and AUX to allow the MP3 player to play through the unit, works well.

Dabtastic!

Got the REVO unit fitted to my TypeS now and its even better than before, the powered arial really does make a difference. I will get pics up today hopefully but full marks to the installers - wecanfit.co.uk - suggested by REVO and they were only 40 quid and made a really good job far better than I would have done.

This of course means I have a Honda Ipod connnection kit with manual and in a box if anyone is interested in making an offer (dont listen to all those other posts - If you want one, I have one. Make me an offer considering its a £225 option on a new type S).....

2. it also says to hide the powere/coax cable down the sides of the windows by removing the plastic AFrame trim - now my TypeS has side airbags will this cause a problem? like blowing up as soon as I pop the plastic out?

i pretty sure that there is no airbag behind the pillars either side of the window screen, its just the plastic has 'airbag' written on it.

hi guys,

Just had the revo fitted to my type r and although it looks ok, the reception is almost unusable.

Im using a fm to dab splitter but the aerial installed by honda is rubbish for dab reception. I know the signal in my area is fine as I had and still own a sony cdx6650 head unit from my previous car.
This had a stick on aerial and worked fine in my skoda; does anybody have any recent suggestions to a glass mount aerial in the type r?

Obviously i dont wanna shell out another 35-40 quid for a defunct aerial but if its gonna work then its worth it.
Im connecting it via a FM modulator and also using a connects2 for my aux in.

Cheers guys

I tried a DAB/FM splitter unit when I fitted a DAB headunit to my Passat, they are rubbish. You are going to need a proper external ariel to get good reception.
