[Head Unit] Is it possible to add an optical toslink input to the head unit?

I own an iRiver HP-120 which has both a line out and optical outputs.

I read of people connecting auxiliary input adapters to their head units. I'm wondering if it's possible to somehow add an optical toslink input to the Civic Hybrid head unit?

You'd need a device that can convert the optical output of your iRiver to the CD Changer input of the Head Unit.

The CD Changer is the only input on the head unit.

I don't know of any such device... but good luck...

If you fit a Connects2 box to the HU it wil give you stereo RCA connectors.

Then you need to find a TOS to RCA converter.

Something like this maybe??

Can the Honda HU accept any digital inputs? If not that pretty much answer it for me.

I don't really wanna bother with converter boxes downgrading the signal...

I would rather swap out the HU and maybe get an amp... that would accept optical Toslink... but then again this way is more hassle and cost than I'm bargaining for....
