Speakers

Hey "sounds" good, that's going to keep you busy for a few hours, but worth it.
I couldn't believe the "quality" of the Honda speakers when I replaced mine, they made a big difference.

I also fitted some Dynamat mats in the doors and they made a big difference, not just to the speaker sound quality but they make the doors sound a lot more solid when open and closed too.

Cheers
Chris

I will follow this with interest. I looked at these myself earlier.

Are you going to be running these directly from the head unit?

Very nice!
Wise of you to go for an amp right away, imo. If it is the sound quality that matters, it will be worthwhile, trust me.
I'm looking forward to see the final result on the upgrade, and hear your impressions/opinions of the improved sound quality

I think that is wise of you .
I did a similar install: First I replaced the four front speakers with a Polk DB-6501 system, run by the original HU.
That didn't work at all - the HU amp quality matches the quality of the original speakers so in my ears the sound continued to be rubbish. It simply didn't manage to run the new speakers properly.
Then I installed a Rockford Fosgate amp in the lower boot - and everything got OK .
I don't have any sub (yet...) I want sound quality, not quantity.

very nice RogS.

I'm planning to install the same speakers as you. Have you got any problems to fit the tweeters or the 6'5" in the original hole? (in the photos seems no..so I think that they fit perfectly on the original)

How they it sounds? what kind of music you put on them?

thanks you and sorry for my english.

Hello.
The tweeters was no problem to fit, the old ones came right of. The 6,5 ones was a little more difficult. You will need to have speaker rings at least 1 cm or the speaker will touch the window. And aboute how it sound? Sorry i cant help you there, i have no amp and no sound right now.

Hope it helps
