Built in CD Firmware upgrade on Standard (EX) Stereo

Hi there

Wondering if anyone can provide any info regarding hopefully upgrading the firmware on the standard EX stereo. Have to say that I am a bit dissappointed with the way it plays mp3 cd's and was wondering if there was a newer firmware which would fix some of the issues with how it lists songs on the standard install.

Checking the version on my Civic the stereo says it's on version 0.900.0 or something....

It's not even ver1! sounds like a prerelease to me! Can anyone tell me what version they are on?

I had mine upgraded last week dur to the MW problem. I'll check what version it is tomoz

Turn on radio with "Power" button,
Press and hold down the "DISP" button, then press button Nr. "1" five times,
On the display "P-DIAG" will appear.
Press the "RPT" button, you will then see the software version.

If it starts with 02 or 03 then there is an upgrade available

I just checked my radio software version in my new SE. It came up as 0637 01

Is this the newest to anyone's knowledge?

I should not and they should.

Risk is they may not have a clue.

yep - like my i-shift upgrade.

I still have a notion that dealers are reluctant to do work that Honda pay for that is not on a recall list.

Honda must pay a lot less per hour than we do and the dealers know they can earn much more.

Where can I this firmware, mb links or email me?!
I want to modify it, change the disp id3 tag scrolling (not tapping the disp button). Or mb with new firmware it's allready done?
