ok for those of you adding aux output converter to their factory hu please take my word for it the audiocontrol lc6i is the one !!! man, this thing is wicked ..it has 6 channel so you can add a sub woofer and control it from a remote ... no whining just pure quality.... i have no picutre at the mo but as soon as i get the camera working i'll put them up .
i also recomend the alpine type s spr 175 speakers , bass upfront damn its got it all i use no dynamat whatsoever the sound is awesome the amp im using for now is a six channel jbl gto 775.6, for the sub a 12" alpine type s . http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/3867.html http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/5769.html http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...s_id/2751.html http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3891.html |

Hiya - those are type-r speakers not type-s. I've plumped for the type-s cos i don't need the excess wattage of the type-r's cos i will only running a small amp (that i hope to hide behind the dash somewhere) and i'm more interested in quality over volume
How easy was the installation? Did you test the speakers without the sub? As i'm only going to install a sub if i'm not happy with the speakers after they've had chance to bed in! Nice kit btw - bet it sounds a hell of a lot better than the standard rubbish! |

Boy, the installation wasnt all the easy but it was worth it. you just gotta be careful with the panels as they are very delicate. but yeah it sounds good. but if you were going sub, fronts and rears and you was using the original head unit, I would recommend audio control LC6 for the output convertor. good luck with your installation

So what you're saying is that you did not need to modify the car or add a "spacer ring" in order to install the Alpine speakers?

I think he means he hacked off the original speaker rim from the factory installed speakers and used that.
I will probably put the original speakers back when i come to sell my car so i want to install it with different rings/spacers - so it's harder cos i've got to make or buy some. |

sorry , you got it, i cut out the factory speaker and install the alpine speaker to the ring ...simply ... also if you just want a subwoofer try the infinity bass link ii and you can also but the expansion module for running the fronts and rear speaker too.

Speak to the boys at Impulse, there based in Hertfordshire.
They did all my audio work and they work for most of the local Honda dealers. They do a good job |
