[Radio] ISO connection
Hello,
Want to install a carkit in my new 2008 civic 5 drs european version, no cd changer no satnav. The carkit comes with ISO connectors, will these fit on the radio, or do i need a converter cable? |

Lol, seems carkit is a dutch term, although it is english
A carkit is like a bluetooth handsfree set like the Nokia CK-7w, or parrot handsfree sets. The "carkit" I bought is shipped with ISO connectors which intercepts the spaeaker wiring coming from the radio, so it can play sounds on itsels through the cars speakers. The connectors are ISO, which is a standard in car connectors. This would be a converter for civics, bunt know if it only applies to older models. Kram ISO2CAR Honda/Mitsubishi 86131 - Afbeeldingen - PDAshop.nl The black and brown connectors are ISO, and the grey (outside pair on the photo) would be the Civic 2008 standard car radio connectors, and the question is if anyone can confirm that for me. Its illegal to not call handsfree in the netherlands, you know Last edited by mpbrouwer; 1st June 2008 at 01:10. |

Yes, I think Sweden and Albania are the only countries where it is not illegal. You will probably need a Connects2 box between the bluetooth system and the Civic. Universal aux in using connects2 - Civinfo Wiki Adding a blue tooth hands free solution - Civinfo Wiki |

Well the set i want to use is rather different,
Since it uses the normal speaker connector interruption for dialing and ๖ther sounds, and uses a seperate line out to the line of the civic radio for streaming AD2P sounds, quite a good feature, since you can use the EQ of the stock radio because the music comes in from the aux in. So, think i need this: - The Kram iso2car connector for interrupting the speakers cables for all sounds from the handsfree set except ad2p sound. Kram ISO2CAR Honda/Mitsubishi 86131 - Afbeeldingen - PDAshop.nl - The connects2 aux in converter for the cd changer plug in order to have the aux for music streaming. Please confirm Last edited by mpbrouwer; 1st June 2008 at 01:09. Reason: added link, previous one is faulty |
