Radio Freezing in ES

I want to update you all about the problem I had with FM radio reception in my ES. I wrote to Honda UK 6 weeks ago. It was a very detailed letter describing the problems. I maintain the radio was poorly aligned or faulty. The answer I was getting from Honda, but through the dealer, was that there was a design problem, Honda were aware of it and were working on it. I have not received an acknowlegement or response from Honda to that letter. In the meantime the radio developed another fault. It kept 'freezing'. Whatever station it was on in FM it was stuck. The first time it happened I could not unfreeze it even by switching off the engine repeatably. The next day on startup the fault had disappeared. A few days later the fault reappeared and I drove straight to the dealer to let him see . They agreed there was a fault and arranged to replace the radio module. This has now been done and I can report that I have had no more trouble. Also I can report that the radio reception is now much better, though still not good enough in a car at this price.

Cor - it's quite a relief that it was a faulty radio, when I heard it was freezing I thought the air con had gone mad!
