I thought this might have been too good to be true

I priced up getting a iPod video setup a while back. You can get:

Dension gateway 100 = £100
Dension VGA adapter = £50

That would give you basic iPod functionality and also output video. (not sure what type of video iPod puts out when playing music though. Maybe a visualiser?)

To use the screen for video you would have to use the reverse camera mod aswell so alltogether not that easy.

UPDATE!

I got a call from Mike @ In Car Advancements today who wasnt best pleased with the "Nav TV" company. I think they tried to market themselves as a developer of new products when in actual fact all they do is buy in and adapt.

This of course will not give the functionality we all want! Which is a BIG disappointment.

Mike is still keeping an ear out for any developments from other companies and will let me know as soon as he hears anything! As soon as i hear anything i will post again!

My main banker is still the '09 stereo and a (hopefully) straight swap - I suppose that would kill any competition or indeed development of a 3rd party solution - asssuming (if it does fit) that it's reasonably priced. Can't see Honda making major interior changes to the point where the sat-nav screen and stereo are totally different - bearing in mind that the longer and larger a production run, the cheaper the end product becomes.

I live in hope anyway!
