Infinity BassLink
Hi! Iīm planning buing Infinitys BassLink, anyone here who has mounted that bass in the Civic and could give me some advice about where to place it? And maybe give a quick review of the sound?
Can it be fitted under the backseat, or is it better to place it in the boot? I have the original speakers left and want a better bass, next step will eventually be to replace the front and rear spakers. There is a BassLink2 in which you can put a slot-in 4x50W amplifier to power the front and rear speakers. Is it a big improvement over the original internal stereos amplifier worth consider? I think it is too big to go under the rear seats. You will need to put it in the boot or where the spare wheel goes.
You can get smaller units which fit under the rear seats if you want to keep the boot space. Try these links for ideas: Small Sub Woofer Under Rear Seats. Questions ? How to install a Pioneer sub woofer Weak Bass now sorted! Also, pics of the back of the radio French Install . |

But it would be perfect if it could fit in the space for the spare wheel. Any drawdowns with placing it there? |

The infinity basslink was on my shopping list, but I was keen to get one to fit under the rear seats. I am sure it will sound better than the smaller ones and it is available for bargain prices - see this link for a really good deal with free wiring kit : http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/pro...c_froogle.html The way I tested to see where I could fit my preferred unit before buying was to make a card board box of the same dimensions. I then tried the boxes in various locations. The alpine is 14.5" x 12.5" x 8" which is quite a bit bigger than the pioneer I fitted: http://www.pioneer.co.uk/uk/products/25/130/201/TS-WX11A/index.html The Civic boot is huge, so I guess there is no harm putting it there. |
