does it support .mp4 files?

Hi!

Does the Civic's CD/MP3-player support .mp4-files? I don't mean that it should somehow support video-files, but it would be nice to fit more mp4 musicfiles in cd (about two times more than mp3's).

and btw...about one week left......

It does, however, play WMA files.
Somebody else on the forum suggested this :-

Try WMA VBR quality 25. The files are about half the size of 128Kb mp3 files and to me sound about the same. You should get appox' 250 tracks per CD.

had 220 tracks on cd and sounded great . take 2-3 mins to read but that ok because in under a min you get music then 1-2 mins later you get your track listings.

What program are you using to convert mp3's in WMA VBR?
I tried Nero, and it converts mp3's into WMA-files, but doesn't use VBR (if I got it right..)
Any suggestions..?

Best to use Windows media, and rip to WMA
Go to tools, Options, Rip music, Wma variable bit rate, smallest size.
Note that the maximum #songs is limited to 250 or 255 (can not remember, check the owners manual)
