What can i use for Amp remote power on?

I'm installing an amp in the rear of the car and am a bit unsure how it's going to turn on. Can i use the 12v power socket some how? And how do i connect a cable to the power socket?

I have a Fusion sub in the boot of my R and you obviously have to run the main power from the battery, this is quite easy and you can use the socket in the boot just to switch the amp on and off but not to power it if that makes sense.

Any problems let me know i have had most of the panels off new speakers in the back, led foot lights, sub in the boot, sub control in the front.

poor things only done 3000miles

At the moment i have just bodged an old phone charger, took the insides out of it and soldered the positive to the tip your amp should have an input for the amp on, you dont need a neg as it will use the neg you ran from the batt.

I am going to get to the back of the socket at some point just ran out of time when i was doing it, the charger thing works ok just looks a bit odd in the boot.
