I just found the Kenwood Car Stereo Master Reset
Ok, I know a lot of us have factory fitted stereo but seeing as it's not in the service manual I thought I'd share this for general reference.
My friend and I had a problem with the W6541-U Kenwood car stereo. I went into protect mode and wouldn't come out of it even when pressing the reset button. It appeared to need a master reset so after much button pressing and randomness we found that you need to depress the left and right control knobs and then whilst doing so, hitthe reset button. May not be the same for all Kenwoods, but probably the same for all these models, and in others a combination similar. Like I say, not that relevant for us guys but I looked all over the net and there was nothing relating to this, everyone was sending their units back. |
