Head Unit Help with removing headunit on Civic sport

Hi,

The first post is always a question, isn't it!?

Was hoping to suprise the wife when I pick her up tonight with a new headunit, but i'm not sure how to remove the old one?? I picked up the facia from Halfords this morning and the guy told me i'd need to 'strip the dashboard'.

Sounds ominous. It's a 55 plate BTW.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

But be aware that when the headunit is removed, some functions are not available anymore....

Thanks mate. Yeah, I seen this. Just to clarify, it's an older shape 1.6 Civic Sport. Are those instructions the same for this model?

Oh sorry, I am from the Netherlands, so a 55 plate civic doesn't ring a bell for me....
Think removing the headunit in the older shape civic is complete different....

No problem mate. Would a service book explain how to remove it?

Don't think so, it's not in mine (for the new model civic) and it also was not in the manual of my previous car. If there is a dealer around where you live, they could tell you how to do...

Yeah, there's a dealer not far from here. I'll check it out and let you know how I got on.
