Speakers Size specs and recommendations for speakers needed

Hi,
The title explains itself.
I just installed a Dension Ice-link Plus ipod kit. Found out that the front tweeters and speakers are performing worse than I expected.
I'm thinking about replacing the front speakers and tweeters in my civic. Especially the tweeters because they are the source of the distortion. But I don't have any experience in car audio. I don't know what's good and what's not, but I definitely know a clear sound when I hear it.

So what should I get?

Especially what is the diameter of the speakers and tweeters needed?
Is it 16? Is it 16,5 cm like the 6510 Cs? Or is it 17? Also what about the tweeters? What will fit?

Are there any limitations in terms of watts? After how many watts do I need to back the system up with an amp?

A lot questions are going around my head right now...

I know Pottsy lead the way with upgrading the front speakers, the make he went for was Infinity, I believe.

He made a good How To: thread on it, so have a look there, it might give you all the answers you need!
