Fairly difficult. I assume that cutting the shelf is acceptable as I dont believe there are replacement 'stealth shelves' available yet. The next question is speaker cables; one option is picking up at the rear doors and running backward or removing the headunit and cutting in to the loom (!). Probably best all round to intsall an amplifier (see elsewhere on this site) using the headunit speaker wires to the high input on the amp.

If you can use the existing parcel shelf as a mould then I would recommend making one out of MDF, you probably have to leave it in situ as they would be to heavy for the gas struts, but that way you've got a perfect spot to secure the amp, I did this in a Fiesta a few years ago, you had to post things into the boot, but not the end of the world.

I was thinking in making one (actually have it made), has i haven't seen any stealth one, or just cut the one in the car and cover it with carpet (dunno the word in english, carpets made to to this purpose on cars), had it done on my last car. And i have a amp, my question is not about that, but thanks Swindon.
