iPod interference

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere under iPod topics. Having installed a Dension IceLink Plus to my Civic, the Aux source on the headunit picks up an audible, constant engine whine although this can only be heard at low volume and does not vary with engine revs. Anyone else had similar?

Does it change tone when you turn the steering wheel?
I have found this on my work Skoda after I fitted the Blaupunkt ipod connector and it whines slightly when the wheel is turned.
You may have to re-route the wiring.

What you might need to get is a ground loop isolator from somewhere like Maplins or Halfords, it isolates the ground between the ice>link and the head unit.

I had this issue but the whine increased with the revs

The problem is the volume setting on the unit.
u need to go into the setup and icrease the volume gain to +4

Great suggestion Nadz, have now adjusted to 4V and problem solved.

Cheers
