Rear Speakers in a 3 door!

Hi,

I have read the how to's section on front speakers and that has helped me out alot, thanks Pottsy and Roger. I now have no problem doing the fronts. I would like to change the rears also. I have done a search and only found people talking about what they want to go in the back but no 'How to's' especially for the 3 door.

I was wondering if anyone had attempted speakers in a 3 door model yet?! I just want to get all the info and be ready to go as soon as i get it!

Thanks!

Nope, im getting a type-r and im jus getting everything ready to go in a bit keen i know

Im defo not using Infinity components, i will probably be putting some CDT components in. I would also like to add a set of CDT's in the back as well, but, i dont think anyone has attempted this yet so i may be the first.

Let me know if you attempt it! dont forget the pics

well going by the instructions i dont think the fronts will be to bad to do, but the rears might be a bit different. But im thinking if getting the fronts done well then that will probably be adequate for what i want.

Hey mate see that you have your car now, so when are you going to try this?

ATM im planning to put Alpine Type-R components upfront within a few days of getting mine.

But if speakers will fit in the rear fine thinking Type-R co-ax in the rear.

Then will wait to see best way of getting amps running of the stock HU for giving the juice the speakers need and a sub.

selecting the rear speakers should be alot easier as speaker depth is far less important... there is no window mechanism to foul up !

rear speaker fitment requires removal of the entire rear 3/4 interior garnish...its got a speaker cover but i dont think it provides adequate space to remove/refit upgraded speakers.

Ok no worries, I am thinking about not bothering with rear speakers and buying nicer front speakers instead for the time being.

Plus rear speakers only benefit those in the rear as they bring the sound stage backwards, so ideally is best just to have front speakers.
