Nokia to AUX in Lead
This may be of use to some of you......
After recently installing an AUX in socket in my Civic, I was looking for an MP3 player, when it struck me that my Nokia N73 (like many current mobiles) has a built in MP3/ACC player with a 1gb mini sd card! So, I bought on of these. Got it today and it works brilliantly, very clear sound and the media player on the phone is easy to use. How you connect it to the Connects2 adaptor is up to you – it can plug it straight in, but I've used a male 3.5 jack to male 3.5 jack lead plugged into my AUX in socket. When you plug it in, the phones bluetooth switches off, BUT the lead has the added bonus of having a mic built in! So you can make handsfree calls with the sound coming out of the Civ's speakers (Providing the radio is in AUX mode). My wife says the call quality is better than the HFT, and that's with the mic part on the passenger seat! Also, Windows Media Player recognises the N series (and poss some others) as a device, so syncing music is easy. |

Now, ya see this exactly what I've been trawling the sites for:
An answer to whether the standard stereo has a AUX in to put a phono to 3.5mm jack lead into..... Is it easy to get to and if not what tools are needed..... I have a Zune before anyone asks.... |

Well it has an Aux-in on the back which was intended for the CD changer as I understand it. You need some special kit (Connects2) and need to take the dash apart (see Wiki).

Don't forget the poll:
Who wants a USB/jack/memory card interface for their Civic? Maybe we can enourage Connects2's suppliers to sort out the all in 1 mega connector they already do for older models... |

got my hard wired ipod kit in today and its fantastic. ive also got the option for 3.5mm jack plug as well as the ipod dock, so its full speed ahead for the AV mod with full sound on video play back, so mission impossible is now a piece of cake
