I got 2 sets of genuine Honda speakers rings as part of a compensation deal from a dealer. They would have been £40 per set (2 rings per set). The upgrade rings don't have Bassworks written on them, you get that when you order the Bassworks kit.

The are plastic sprayed silver and you get 4 self adehsive pads in the box, along with a clean up wipe to prime the door trim prior to fixing.

So in answer to your question Robbo, they are only stuck on with four pads and you shoud be able to pull them off (I'd take care though, as the pads are fairly strong and the rings are quite thin!)

You should be able to order replacement pads from your dealer as the ones in the kit were in a bag with a Honda part number on it - I'll have a look in the garage when I get home, as I kept the box/instuctions and see if i can get you the part numbers.

LOL

It was dIRe sTRAITS indeed. Actually Sting wrote the song together with Mark Knopler, and did the high pitch voice on the studio version of the song.
Mark got the idea for the song when he was in an electronics store. A few youngsters were standing in front of a video wall, commenting on the MTV program that was running on all screens. They said that these popstars "get their money for nothing and chicks for free".
The video-clip was also somewhat based on that story.

But this thread was about completely useless, crappy, and 47 times overpriced speaker rings, wasn't it...

Totally correct. A few of us, including myself, went off thread a little, but it was fun whilst it lasted. Sorry, Angie, no offence intended.

Yes, Where Do You Think You Are Going with this thread?

Back on the topic:

I was wondering about the durability of the silver colour, over time (How Long?) do they Fade To Black seeing as you are bound to accidently strike them with your feet when getting out of the car, for example to fill up with some Heavy Fuel in the 2.2.

Also, are there any good pictures In The Gallery of the speaker rings?
