What audio options should I choose? +aux?

Hi,

I am looking at buying a 1.8 EX.

Some of the documentation says that the audio system has an "aux in".
But I cannot find it in any car I have looked at and the dealers donīt have a clue. Does any-one have any input on this?

Also, I have read some of the threads on ipod cabel and bassworks.
Doesnīt sound like anyone is too thrilled with these options.
What would you recommend as audio options?
The co-axials (seem expensive) or just standard?
Or buy some aftermarket co-axials?

There is no Aux-in fitted as standard on the Civic despite what the audio documentation says. For a do it yourself aux-in have a look at this thread - Connecting an iPod to an EX

I am using the connects2 mentioned and am very pleased with the results. I went down this route as an alternative to the Honda Ipod connection after reading the posts on this site. I'm glad I did - saved hundreds and sounds great.

For aftermarket speakers have a look at Front speakers - replacement with Infinity Ref 6510CS

Again... I have used these with good results.

Both the above after market upgrades can be done by yourself at a fraction of the dealers offerings.

You may want to look at the WIKI section on this website or use the search facility as I am sure almost every question you have would have been asked and answered by others.

Good Luck

D

Do a search for 'Co-axial', as it's been asked before in various threads.
