Component speakers have the tweeter separated from the main Driver Cone. This allows the high frequency sounds to be directed more towards your head and the Low frequency sounds to be dispersed. Coaxial Speakers have the tweeter mounted on the centre of the Driver cone (same axis) and so the high frequency sound tends to get lost more in the Low Frequency wave. A good quality Coaxial is always going to be better than a bad quality Component, but a good quality component is always far superior. |
