Any Audio Shops Based in Worcestershire.

Morning all, i'm a new civic driver, 60miles so far but have already noticed the poor sound quality/volume from the stereo compaired to my last car.

I have read a number of threads saying about how to change my speakers myself but i'm just not confident enough, i'm looking at changing the speakers in the front and back to infinitys.

The long and short of it is, can anyone recomend and audio shop in the Droitwich/Worcester area which I can trust to dismantal my new civic.

No offence but I didn't fancy taking it to our local Halford for the Saturday lad to attack with a monkey rench. (unless someone has used them and can give me a name of someone to ask for?)

well what can i say, i have now done 3500 miles in my NHB Civic and i'm glad i didn't get any responce to my post as the speakers have bedded in very well.

The speakers became far sharper and with more midrange after about 2000 miles, to improve the bass/low end I applied some Dynamat to the inside of the doors and also on to the metal the speakers mount on to.

The Dynamat sound deadening is a definate must for anyone wanting a better sound out of their stock speakers, and at £20 from Halfords its a cheap upgrade.

Result!

I wasn't greatly impressed with the sound from the stock speakers when I first picked up my Civic, but was too lazy to do anything about it.

Now, 5 months & 4500 miles down the line, I'm quite happy with how they sound.

This means either

a) The speakers needed bedded in, and are genuinely producing a better sound than when they were new.
b) My ears have got used to the sound the speakers produce, and by now I've forgotten how the stereo sounded in my old car, which had much more bass from its stock setup.

Probably a bit of both.

Cheers m4rky i'll give them a go.

PJR i really do think its "a" i know its strange but the sound has really got better, I have always compared the speakers to the ones in my Seat Altea and i'm sure they have not deteriorated. (spelling)

I think the front speakers have bedded in nicely but the rear are still a little weak, i'm going to give them a couple of thousand more miles and if they don't improve i'll swap them out.
