looks awesome mate!

but wow the second picture makes it look pretty scary!
Was it fairly easy to get it all together?
Just looking at all the wires coming from the head unit is daunting enough let alone removing the dash and seeing all that mess!

Lol thinking about it is alot worse than actually doing it.
Once you've brought all the kit its pretty much plug and play.
Just abit of alteration to do to the dash once the old HU is out.
The 'How to' links on here are great tho. Couldnt of done it without!

Well worth the stress tho. Best thing ive done.

Yeh i agree mate. Only one thing tho, does yours pick up radio stations clearly and easily? Mines pretty useless but im thinking i havent done something with the aerial that maybe your meant to?

Where abouts did you put your microphone and the GPS receiver?
are all the wires/connections pretty self explanatory?
anything that sticks out in your head you found difficult/would do different for when i get around to sorting mine?

I put the microphone underneath the rear view mirror.. just ran the thin cable round the interior so you cant see anything, and the GPS receiver ontop of the dash in the right hand corner, again hiding the wires.
Yeah it was basically only one connection will fit into another one etc so you cant really go wrong.
I forgot to cut into the handbrake cable tho so the unit wouldnt work at first as it thought the handbrake wasnt engaged. But this was easy enough to sort.
Like i say think its just the aerial i need to sort out abit better apart from that everything went sound

Yeah picks up radio stations fine ? Did you fit the wire to the power antenna on the head unit loom ? The one from the ariel adaptor ? I didn't at first but when fitted all stations there & everything was fine

If i remember right you get some double sided adhesive tape in the box with you can attach to the back, or if you dont.. I just used some heavy duty double sided sticky tape. Works perfect and you cant tell

Ah i must check this aerial wire the weekend. Im pretty sure i didnt do anything other than connect the antenna box :S
Been listening to my Ipod all the while Lol

Installing a sub is hard, the HU is easy.

Looks really good mate, well done!

Where abouts did you buy your fascia and leads from Chippers_GT? Did you have to buy anything else apart from the HU? Buying the same unit at the end of the month so i thought i'd do a bit of research before i crack on with the install. Cheers

Cheers everyone.

You can buy the full kit including fasica and complete leads from impulse mate. Think almost everyone on here buys them from there.
I also had to buy the power cable for my unit of the net but im not sure if this was because i bought a second hand unit and the cable was missing in the box :/
Youl love it once its done!

Gonna guess its the F930BT you have fitted. Mine was a factory fit on the Si-T.
Seeing as you had time to play with it a couple of questions you may have the answers to that are annoying me with it.
1, Has your clock display failed. Mine did, told it was due to the satnav! Has to leave it with Honda for a week for them to get the part required that now sits between satnav and clock off factory floor at Swindon.
2, Are you able to make handsfree voice calls with it without having to use the touch screen to dial out?
3, I,m pee'd off you are restricted to how many custom poi's you can install into the system (10).
4, Also the software for POI's is mainly for europe with a lot of it in German language. Light years behind tomtom.
If your able to shed any light would be grateful.
