Tweeters in the door

Hi Guys!

I've been reading through some of the threads on your forum and noticed that some of you have the tweeters built into the door. My civic doesn't come with tweeters and therefore doesn't come with the nice little panel's to hold tweeters. Is it possible to obtain those panels??

If you don't want to upgrade your speakers (highly advisable) then there's a tweeter kit, tweeters, cables & trims for (I think) £90
If you want to upgrade to infinities or similar then you need to do this (or I did)
Basically I tried explaining what I required to the dealer, 2 tries and he just couldn't find anything but the kit; told me they weren't available, until I got him to search that part for the 2.2 EX. Think they were £7 each, easy. but they're on the EX part list and NOT the SE.

The problem is... Down here in Sunny South Africa we only get the 1.8 5 door civic or the Type R.
Would the covers from the Type R fit?

Here is a picture if that helps. This is off a 5 door but it looks identical to the one on my Type R. I am sure you can buy the panels.

Another alternative is to just upgrade the door speakers with coaxial speakers. The tweeter is mounted in the middle of the speaker - see second picture. I upgraded my rear speakers with coaxials and they work fine.

I asked the dealer, about 2 months ago and still waiting for them to get back to me

My poor baby is at the panel beaters anyway, some kid without a license went into the side of me

Thanks for all your guy's replies
