Sweet kskanoy! Hope for some pictures when insalled! What did you put in the back doors? And how big is your sub?

Cheers from fellow Norweigian

mounting

Getting the power cable from the front to the back was quite a challenge. It is really tight space!

My friend helping me with his small tools :P

Thank's too the HOW TO guide here at civinfo changing the speakers / tweeters went fine

The beauty/beast that's going in...

The box, it is small because it only needs 37 litres with the magnet out.

First test

Cutting out a copy for the bottom plate

And it fitted perfectly!

And with the sub

Fitting of the capacitors

Plexiglas for protection

Preview and testing in the car

Time for some clothing. You can see here that i used racing grill for the capacitors. When it's mounted it willl be 2x30cm blue led stick that will light under it.

Almost there now!

Pics up now

Haven't change the back doors yet, only in the front. The sub is 12" and 5000W, 4500W in RMS

Very nice! The capacitors make it look like the sort of thing James Bond might have to diffuse to save the world!

And, best of all, you've still got room for the shopping!

The engine went from 1500 rpm to 1300 rpm when i crank the volume up...I hoped that capacitors would fix that but I think they are not big enough (3fahrad together)
And i'm afraid the front window will be loose after a while, it vibrate quite heavily.

Haven't been on db drag yet, but i suppose around 140-141 desibel

Practicality? well, civic has a good solution for the backseat, just bring them up and you get a quite big "trunk" Have to offer something for sound

I would miss the boot space too much, but it does look like an impressive set up

I don't think LOUD music should be played, whilst the vehicle is being driven. Just a personal thing.

Capacitors only help to flatten the current-peaks you draw from the battery, they are not "extra batteries". Bigger capacitors will definately not solve your rpm-problem. (e.g. They do help to solve the problem of flickering interior lights when cranking it hard.)
Installing an extra battery in the back might help, though. The extra battery loads when you use the stereo at "normal" volumes. That's most of the time, rof your ears sake. When requiring more power, the second battery will help to provide the extra current.

I always like to see the boundaries pushed. Take on board practicality, but good job!
