In the front doors i have Digital Designs C 6.5 speakers with tweeters. I bought a universal mounting bracket, like a "spacer". In the back i have the original speakers. My plan is to install an 4 channel amplifier and 2 new speakers for the back. At this time the speakers make a cracking noise at about volume 32-35 because the original cd player can't handle the speakers. The sub works like a charm though
About the picture problem i have no answer, maybe that the ISP have blocked the ip or something. You are the only one with the picture problem.... |

With an active system it's no problem since only the low-level line-out signal is taken, another issue is if it's worth the effort/expense. Without the ability to measure the inside acoustics you may get a system that plays loud - and not much else. A good example are JBL systems, they play very differently with the same units/speakers in different setups/cars.

ok I went to shop today where I'm going to get my amp and sub installed and they guy said that installing it in the civic will not be worth the effort. He said that if I use an amp on the factory HU then there is goign to be a significant amount of engine noise. He has done it several times on the civic and he doesn't recommend it because most customers come back and request to take their aftermarket part off. Its that bad apparently. But if I still really want to get it installed then they will still do it.
Is there any truth to this. I really badly want to improve the sound system in the civic but if its going to turn out bad maybe I should just leave it as it is. |

i really like what youve done here! i think im gonna do somthing similar but have the sub the other way up with a grill over it as i put my mountain bike in the back on occations. at the moment ive got a sub box with a built in amp but it just doesnt compair to having a decent separate amp and sub!
