Radio Radio / TMS update?

Hi
Have just gone in for my 37,500 service. Mentioned that all was fine apart from....

TMC packed up about a month ago
Radio reception is still poor
Turning from FM to AM sometimes (about once per 10 times) makes the volume go really low

After a bit of head scratching, the dealer has ordered an "upgrade kit" from Honda which is software I think. It's the first one that they've done, which always alarms me a bit. Has anyone else had this done?

It's off next week for the work. They showed me the honda pages.

Also my dealer has done a software update for the bad reception of the radio at last service... but the result is poor.

Oh well, doesn't sound very hopeful. 3 days till it's in. At least they have to fix the tmc I guess.

Well, they did the firmware update of the radio etc. and also the Satnav, but the Satnav TMC was still bust so they fitted a new one.

The radio is much much better now. RDS works great, reception is much much better. Happy camper.

I have been to my dealer to sak for the upgrade, and they couldn't find anything. They found an update for the RDS,and it is booked in next Friday to have it done. Do you think this is what you had done Steve? and did it really improve radio performance, cos mine is crap. Paul

I think so. An update for RDS only sound strange. Probably is an fw update
