Looking for a TypeR fascia (CT23HD11)

Hello,

I've been considering buying a new double din player for my iPod/phone as i currently have a Honda 8 cd changer installed (came with the car already installed). The problem is when I went to Halfords to try and get one they quoted me nearly £290 to get one. Stupid money!

Since then I've looked on ebay and this was the best price I've found here:
HONDA Civic Car CD Stereo Double Din Fascia Surround Panel Fitting Kit CT23HD11 | eBay

...but £90 is still a bit steep for a piece of replacement plastic.

Does anyone know of a place I can get one cheaper?

Thanks in advance,
Fozz.

Eco display
Don't forget that you'll need the fitting cage and wiring loom to enable you to retain the clock, steering wheel controls etc.

I wonder how the build quality of that chinese one compares to the official one, or even the Connects2 one.

the UK RHD one is at http://www.aliexpress.com/store/prod...445900515.html

$105 with shipping for 1! 2 is randomly $99 Total, as its free postage then.

Thats about £65 for 2, or £32.50 for one! Good price, any one fancy trying one out and going halves?

Does not include a cage, but seems to include a bracket.

Just went to order 2 and the free postage vanished back to searching.

Wires to maintain steering wheel and AC control can be found on ebay for £50 inc postage.

I've been on the phone to a specialist car audio place in south london and they have told me that the Honda 8 CD Changer I've already got installed won't work with any new stereo systems. That's a shame, I was hoping to keep that.

The fascia kit they provide is also nearly £150 but it does include the cables I need which are around £50 alone in other places. I don't think buying everything separately will end up saving me much money.

Just ordered mine from bassjunkies. 89.99 with brackets. They sell the wires for 39.99, so 130 all in so not a lot in it.

What wire set did you go for...Was it the steering wheel control interface adaptor?

Only ordered the fasica so far, the wires I am going to get are at:

Connects2 CTSHO002 [CTSHO002] - £39.90 : BassJunkies

£39.90 - then will choose which steering adapter to get once I know what make of head unit I am going to get.

Staging it out so it seems cheaper lol!

Good luck with your install!

Thanks! Just ordered the fascia and wires from same website (P&P only £5 ) I've got a good idea of what unit I want as I'm not bothered about having a touch screen or dvd player...just need my iPod/phone connection & nice looking (has to be RED coloured/variable) unit and I'll be happy.

Man, I phoned them today because my install was meant to be tomorrow and ended up giving them a piece of my mind

I ordered mine last Friday 13th....not a word, then I find out they have been out of stock all week and I would probably get it either Saturday or Monday (no guarantee). I asked for a refund!

I then went up to Wandsworth from work this evening and bought the kit from Dynamic Sounds.
CTKHD01 Honda Civic 2006> Double Din Stereo Installation Fitting Kit

If I were you I'd call them and get a refund. I was looking at reviews/comments from other customers of Bass Junkies today, sounds like they are a bunch of cowboy's. I'm not surprised either, I spent 3 mintues waiting for someone in their "order tracking department" to pick the phone up today which they never did. I ended up going through their sales number and demanding they check it for me.

Not a happy customer.

Anyway, have you decided what head unit your gonna go for?

Hey all, quick update! I finally got the head unit and reverse camera all installed today, looks really nice. Here are some night pics showing the lighting on the unit and surround (I'll grab some daytime pics tomorrow).
