One (stupid) question, why have you made the harm-ness cable? what is its function?

It looks like Yes! - because Civic 5D has version w/o radio, BASE 1,4, right?.
But I'm not sure about parts number (there is no BASE 1,4 5D in Russia), please contact your local dealer...
They have online access into HPC (Honda parts catalog) and can get up-to-date info.
Ask about part number 39720-SMR-G01 for LH car or 39720-SMR-E01 for RH...

Additionally, ask them about warranty - there can be different rules... and different people in dealer workshop

And the last thing - I'm not sure that diagnostic system in my car does not show errors after my "hack".
My dealer will check it next week - I'll let you know.

Thanks.

Andrey.

UPD. Ops... Does 1,4 Base have A/C?. If not, sorry, I've mistaken in part numbers...

I was not sure that it works and I wanted to have backup.
So, I saved original connectors.
Of course, only ISO connectors for aftermarket radio is needed - you can cut original connectors and re-connect wires directly to new radio and to new display.

Has someone out there asked honda for the LCD for 1.4 base? Does it match the 1.8 sport? Or we have to order the red one for the type-r just andreyka did? I believe noone wants to spoil the "blue" atmosphere of the interior...

Hmmm, it´s a nice solution, but i wouldn´t mount a 2DIN without LCD monitor like a kenwood 7200 for example.

But not been able to solve the clock adjustment problem.

So, that let the clock and the display of the climate work, it is necessary to bind all of D and E wires into the original head unit. It is necessary to tie it up furthermore A sign socket 1,4,6,9,10,13,14 and 17 pins.

There is my solution, where factory HU was removed.

I bought display assy for car version w/o factory radio (39720-SMT-G01 Display assy., (NO AUDIO), ~350 Euros).
This assy has different pinout and is connected directly to AC control.
It does not show radio info but has clock setup buttons.

The factory HU was removed.
Harness was made by myself (thank my Honda dealer for wiring diagrams)

I installed Kenwood in my car two day ago.

It works!

Dealer checked my work and told me that warranty is not broken!
Next Monday dealer will install navi block, rear camera and handsfree.

Unfortunately, I didn't find Kenwood remote control wire/electric diagram and cannot make adapter for wheel control and didn't find online shop where this adapter is available

The result:

Hand-made harness:

New display pinout and my reconnect diagram (sorry for Russian, I can translate if you need):

If you have any questions - welcome! I'll try answer and help.

Thanks.

English translation would be nice.
