Just to confirm - We haven't been able to loose the clock display, it has only been blanked out so you cant see it.

From my piont of view, when we install these for our Honda dealers the end customer doesn't need to know about the clock on the display panel. Because there is a clock on the Pioneer Navi system we installed.

The OEM radio is no in the glove box nor in the boot - it is placed behind the dash all hidden away nice and neat.

Any more questions????
Yes, can you put some photos in from the radio behind the dash?

Which connection is importent if i want the display still works?
Maybe you can show me the complet connections between OEM Radio, Aftermarktet Radio and Display

Thx, Johnny

Hi - new to the forums.
Ive recently upgraded my stereo to a pioneer head unit with all the trimmings but where i got it done said that at the moment it is not possible (as far as they know) to get my upper display (a/c / clock) display working with it. I've noticed that you seem to have had your original HU wired in? Is this the only option and if so how was yours done i.e what wiring loom was used and how was it installed? I have an ES with dual climate so i'm assuming, like you, that my HU will have to be positioned in the boot?

You can put the old HU in the glovebox also.
That has also been done.

That was on the things that frustrated me more than anything else with the Civic. The HU was so heavily integrated into the dash that it made it diffult to change it for the set up I wanted.

That wiring would be a lifesaver! Any chance of getting one pre-made?

By the way - how is the original HU put in the glove box?? Do you have to take all the gubbins off the back of the face-plate? I'm guessing you do else it wont fit ih the glove box (either that or i have a smaller glove box than everyone else!
I'm after as much info as possible with regard to re-integrating my original HU so i can get my system finished and know what my climate control is doing.
Going to see a diff bunch of guys later today as the original bunch that changed the HU were pants!
Any info that i can pass on to them would be grand
