I once saw a car that had a modded xbox in it, running linux. The guy had a double DIN screen in the dash, and some controls in the central console and on the steering wheel.
At that point he was already running MP3, games and satnav but he was looking tot add some more features.
That could be a starting point? Or maybe just a real portable PC. Connection of peripherals shouldn't be to difficult. You already mentioned a GSM Terminal, but you can also look at GPS antennas, wifi-antenna, externall video-source (like a camera)... Al that stuff can pretty easily be hooked up to a standard PC.

The system that comes in to my civic, is a full range computer,
My first idea was also an modded Xbox, but the expansion range is too limited, so i've build a MINI ITX based Computer, with WIFI,UTMS, Bluetooth and so go on ... i'm a "little" computer freak

My 7" Touchscreen from Xenarc is already @ my desk, for testing the computersystem, Installing in the car, is something for next week, or for friday.

Greetings

The basics of wardriving is to locate (by gps) open and Protected Wi-Fi Acces points, hotspots ... actually everything connected by Wi-Fi, with a car.

it's NOT the intention to crack protected Acces Points,or hotspots !!
