You are very unlikely to get DAB reception in the north of Scotland, I live in the borders and we ha vent got it yet, its a bit worrying as we are the first region to lose analogue signals when the country goes digital.

DAB receivers et al.

In high population areas DAB is O.K. e.g. Forth-Clyde valley.
As soon as you travel anywhere off the beaten track forget it!
Motorway signal was reasonable.
My DAB experience was with facory-fitted equipment in a VECTRA so I don't have stand-alone costs.

It looks like the only areas covered by DAB in Scotland are the central belt and the black isle / Inverness. Thanks for the post.
