Sikaflex 255 spoiler adhesive
Up for grabs is a tube of sikaflex 255, The best product for anyone looking to do a Type R build.
Sikaflex is used for bonding windscreens and is ideal and a favoured method for fitting spoilers on here. Tube is brand new, not used or opened. ![]() £10 delivered (Cheaper than eBay) and poss anywhere else I have read the trading rules and will follow them to the letter |

From what I understand silkaflex ebt is a builders product with the simular values as mega grip ect...
It is not suitable for bonding spoilers and windscreens. Ideal for skirting boards ect... |

Thanks. Was curious as I've used EBT to bond my spoiler on and it's rock solid at the moment... but obviously don't want it flying off!!

Didnt u also say you bolted it as well? The bolts may be enough to stop it from moving. I personally wouldn't reccomend anyone to rely on the edt alone. The silka 255 is the correct one.

My sister also had sideskirts bonded to her car years ago using EBT and the car is now being used by our cousin and the side skirts are still as strongly bonded (5 years now). EBT is more than suitable. It's a multi purpose bonding agent/sealant. The only difference I believe is that it can be used to stick wood, brick etc too where as 255 isn't suitable for these applications. |

I am a builder and use lots of different product's simular to silkaflex. Mainly mega grip.
In my opinion I wouldn't even entertain using one of these to fit a spoiler, with the right force I could pull skirting off the wall using mega grip, Silkaflex edt is designed to be flexible and allow movement (hence why it is designed for builders) and in time if bonded alone it will come off. After getting a few quotes to bond my spoiler from professionals they all insisted on silkaflex 255, this is specifically designed for bonding spoilers, bodykits and windscreens to cars. You cannot find a better product than silkaflex for spoilers, We all know how hard and expensive the oem spoilers are to find and buy, for the sake of the extra £3 for Silkaflex 255 I know what i'd put my trust in as I am driving on the motorway at speed. |

Beg to differ. Used EBT before and like I say 5 years down the line and no matter how hard we tried the skirts aren't budging.
As for my spoiler. See my previous install thread as to how paranoid I got with regards to the spoiler being safely bonded. After curing I tried my hardest to get the spoiler to budge and it isn't moving. |

With the Sikaflex 255 being the one designed for Windscreens and Bodykits I am going to say that one...
