That looks neat.
One of these adapters indoors would be handy as well to keep it charged, if you decide to get one for home use (save draining the car battery!). Mains AC to 12v Cigarette Socket Adaptor Power Supply on eBay, also, Power Plug Adaptors, Accessories, Consumer Electronics (end time 13-Dec-07 18:00:00 GMT) I got one to use 12 volt items (car vac etc) off the mains and charge phones etc that only come with in-car cigarette lighter adaptors. Works well. Ps: You can buy them from the sellers shop if this auction is closed by the time you view it. Last edited by allan40alt; 12th December 2007 at 22:22. |

I got a wind up one, for emergencies.
It lasts ages on a single 30 second wind. However..................a few months ago I got one of those LED units with straps that goes over your head, like a pseudo miners lamp. It is absolutely superb and I have used it loads for various jobs. Light where you need it. I'm going to get another one for the car as well to supplement the wind up. I reckon it would be a boon for changing wheels in the dark should you unfortunately get a puncture. |

Yes I know
Last puncture I had was on the Xantia, in the dark, and it was a bu**er to do. It didn't start off too well after I unwound the jack too far and the thread fell out of the hole and I needed to reconstruct the jack (in the dark). That pseudo miners hat has been used for seeing what I'm doing in the dark or subdued lighting with the light directed 'on the job in hand' I think I'd better stop there whilst I'm ahead............ |
