I got in from work one evening and changed the H1's H7's and the side lights in the dark with a torch, cos I was too impatient to wait until morning to see what they looked like. It was very simple though you'll be fine. |

I changed H1 and H7 for Osram Nightbreaker today and I have some doubts about changing bulbs since I didn't manage to perform that without getting battery out. So, I'm curious how u managed it.

This is going to show my ignorance, but hey its never stopped me before...
My new Type S GT arrives next week (fingers crossed). What type of bulbs will it come with (ie what type of bulbs give that really bright white/blue light and are those standard or is this what this thread is all about...)? ![]() |

This thread is about upgrading non-HID headlights. Even cars with HID only have HID on dipped-beam, not on full beam. For more information and exact bulb types, have a look in the Lights section of the Wiki: Lights - Civinfo Wiki |

Well I was driving my mum and dad to the airport earlier this month at 3am, and my mum commented on the fact that my headlights were a huge improvement on her FRV's.
Told her to get some Nightbreakers fitted and she'll definitely see the difference. Even when these lights are dirty (most of the time) they are still brighter than the OEM bulbs. As for comparing them to the Philips Xtremes, well I think it's a lot of 'you pay your money, you take your pick'. I had Philips bulbs in my ZS and to be honest I don't think there is a huge amount of difference between the ranges once you get to 150%+ lights. |

yeap, i bought yesterday Osram Nightbreaker H7:s and cost 29,90€/pair. today after work i just replaced lowbeams. it was an easier job than i thought. took me about 20 minutes to change them. its easy. imo you guys who dont have changed lowbeams yet, start with passenger side first. its easyer than driver side. i will post comments & pictures maybe today what nightbreakers feels like, cheers

Now i had some comments about those Nightbreaker lowbeams. I have to admit that Nightbreakers can advance more lightpower than Honda original bulbs. It gives more light to sides and littlebit longer. And about color of the light, its just a little whiter than original (not much) and if you look carefully you can see a slightly touch of blue (when you look ahead of the car) not inside of drivers aspect. In my opinion, good bulbs, but i disapointed a little. Pictures will follow.

Done both set's on mine, the Type-R is a pain to change the passenger side ones, but did it without getting the battery out.
Took me 15 minutes, so well worth the time and money. |
