Temperamental Rear Interior Light

I swapped over to Blue interior bulbs a few weeks ago but the rear one is a bit temperamental - some times it comes on and sometimes it doesn't

I have had the cover off to see if it is seated right and it seems to be ok - has anyone else had this problem.

When it first happened I thought the bulb had blown but it came on the next time I opened my door.

When it is on it doesn't flicker (even when tapped) so I dont think it has a loose connection.

I had exactly the same problem with the LED replacements- I kept taking the cover off and rotating the unit in the holder. I could never identify a specific problem with it. This went on for a few weeks and then no more problems.

Not yet - I am going to swap them back over tomorrow. I don't even know if it had the problem before I swapped to the Blue bulb as I had only had the car a week and didn't take much notice when it was white.

Hopefully mine will sort itself out as well - I will keep my fingers crossed.

Find the wires, solder them to the LEDs, settlement They tend to last longer than the car anyway so you won't have to solder them out again

I think I will try the sandpaper approach first - but thanks for the advice.

Try a bit of a nail file thingy, the paperish ones that is.

The emery board will be a bit more gentle.

My father is Scottish and my mother is Chinese.
They both support their ethnic roots.
So tonight will be a Chinese Burns night!"
