H1 light bulb clip
Hello all, being a complete novice I was changing the H1 bulbs the other night and was working on the drivers side bulb when I managed to undo the clip which holds the bulb in place and drop it onto the floorpan of the engine

I think the clip should be somewhere on floorpan since there isn't any bigger holes except one near front wheels and the floorpan itself has some pits so it's not flat....I saw that when my lighter cover went same way as your clip....
my suggestion is you trie to remove floorpan to see if clip is still there....chance is little but you may be get lucky! |

It might be worth trying a scrap yard.
If it is the clip I think you are talking about, I think they are fairly similar on most headlights with H1 bulbs. |

These gadgets are good for retrieving things from awkward spots. you might be lucky, the spring clip could still be down there.

Hi all, a quick update on this rather embarassing situation, well I gave up on finding the clip, drove home back to parents at the weekend (over 200 miles) and on the sunday thought I would take the car round the corner to kwik fit in Altrincham and see if they could jack the car up and have a look just in case - you wont believe it - they found the clip still in the floorpan! Even the guy said he was amazed it was still there, nice bunch of lads, they didnt even charge me so I gave them some money to buy a beer
