Lightbulb Flashing Hazards

After I have locked my civic the hazards flash 3 times as they should. Then after a couple of minutes they flash intermittently for between 20 and 40 seconds. This goes on for maybe upto half an hour. I close the curtains as it drives me mad and cannot stop it!!! Any ideas??

is the alarm sounding or is it just the lights? does it stop if you unlock then lock it again? i would take it to a dealer and try and replicate the problem!

I have found (on other cars) that near-flat batteries can cause all kinds of strange behaviour.

Has it always done this?

It is definatley a fault...

If it occurs each time after the same period of time, then it's certainly a fault of the alarm central itself, otherwise perhaps a loose mass cable? Older alarms have reacted this way to attempts of "scanning" (by thieves) but this is rather obsolete with todays variable code alarms. I would try to film it and present the movie to the dealer
