Replacing Xenon bulbs

I've taken a quick look around and I think no one has asked this so far:

How many degrees kelvin does our HID light have? I'm guessing 6000°, but I'm rather bad at guessing.

And - I've found info supporting this - they can be replaced with (for instance) 8000 °? I like the dark blueish tints better than pure whites.

I'm also wondering whether the high beam can be converted to xenon with some effort? Scratch this one. It's useless as it requires charging . Bi-Xenon probably won't work on our Civic's?

Cheers,

Jeroen

White HID's are 4100/4300K (what we have).

Bi-Xenon requires Bi-Xenon projectors to be able to work.

Sounds likes an expensive hassle. I'll just buy other bulbs

Keep in mind that 4100/4300K ones give most light on road. Anything above it becomes more bluish, and gives less light.

As for Bi-Xenons, yes... it is lots of work. I've done it though on my old Civic.
Had to open lamps, drill, etc... to fit in projectors.
But, the end result was worth it.
Wouldn't recommend it though to people who are afraid of DIY stuff (besides, it also depends if it can fit specific lamps)

Its easy to change the bulbs, you just need to buy the type D2R xenon bulbs for the normal driving light (low beam i think). Ive bought them in 8000k. See for yourselves...

You can change it almost like normal bulbs, you only have to watch out where you touch bulb (Do not touch bulbs glass, only the plastic/metal throat-holder)

4700K is white.
6000K is blusih (not white).

As for changing bulbs, you can do it yourself, just take care as bulbs are fragile, and turn off lights and leave them off for at least 5 min before fiddling with them.
