High-mount brake light looks poorly

I wonder if anyone have the same problem. The stop lights on the boot doesn't light up equally. It seems like the middle part lights up stronger than the rest. Looks oddly like it was broken or several leds were burned.

I just realised there are no leds there just one bulb with kind of wide piece of glass or something. Think I'm gonna get there and see whether I can replace this everything with a 12V red led stripe. I'll post the effects as soon as possible.

I've noticed this too, but when the car in front turns the effect appears to stay the same. Maybe it's designed this way for safety.

No, dear Andiww you are wrong. 3 weeks ago, I dismantled mine and I realised that it has 4 (or 5 , I don't remember exactly) LEDs with a plastic wide deflector.

Well I still don't have much time to get there and see how its all fitted. I also had some problems with removing the plastic cover from boot doors. Any idea how to remove it without braking it... ?

Give it a good tug!

It goes 'crack' and comes away. I removed mine to fix the brake light cover.

Further details can be found here: Cover for brake lights discussion (split)

I was going to say that - it's just a single central bulb. At some angles it does look like you have a LED strip with some not working
