In the UK you must have a washer system aswell . Looks great £600 is a big investment tho

Looks like he has washers already - great job but I guess for most people it's too complicated to install on their own and too expensive to get it installed professionally, apart from the possible legal hassle. Nevertheless, quite impressive

ANGIE you read my mind!

First couple of pics I thought I WANT THAT and then the further down I got the more I was like **** THAT!!!

Peronsally I really do hope HONDA get on the ball with this and start offering these as standard on the higher models or as a option.

I actually phoned Honda UK before I purchased my CTR to ask if this was an option they were going to be introducing in 2008 or if they would fit them aftermarket for me, but the reply was that they had no intention of offering these as an option at anytime......we'll see tho. Bit miffed that they fit them as standard on other models in other parts of the world and we don't get them in the UK

It seems strange that they can put them on the EX as standard in the UK and yet they won't even offer it as an option for the other models... are they making too much money as it is or soemthing??!!
Between this and ditching Vivid Blue you really have to wonder who makes these brilliant decisions

Thanks for your comments.
You are right - there are no economical reasons for this solution.
But I'm IT person and when Honda (or anybody) says "You cannot have this option" I make it myself...

I usually get on my high horse as soon as people start talking about HID conversions (one of my pet hates is being blinded while I'm driving) - but with the self levelling kit built in, this looks like a great job!

VERY impressed

This is an impressive job and the result is awesome !
It will be very nice if someone like Hela, FK Automotive or others to manufacture such aftermarket projector headlights.

They might not have enough HID available or have long-term contracts for bulbs or whatever makes production cheaper and the profit higher. The Civic is essentially an example for modern stuff - brilliant design, and then came the cost controllers....

As everyone has said this looks really impressive. It is quite an expensive mod though.

Well done

About Hella modules price - 600 pounds - it's in Russia - you know - oil->crazy money->crazy prices
Ask UK or Еurope Hella dealer - the price can be lower..

Don't think that is the reason. They supply HID on other modles which are sold outside the UK, but built in the UK Even outside the UK it seems that most get the headlight washers which again is yet another thing we don't get - if you look at the pic of the CTR in the brochure it actually has headlight washers but has been airbrushed in some pics. Strange but true

UK CTR does not have headlight washers... I was sure it's worldwide standard equipment.
Sorry

HID I believe was deleted from the UK CTRs to keep the price just below what was perceived to be the competing cars in the same segment.

Shame, because on my oily old smoke generator, they work very well.

andreyka; nice mod, very well done!

It would of been nice to have it as an option.....I would have paid to have them fitted as would others.

Like someone has said it really makes you wonder who makes the decisions in Honda UK
