Interior map lights

hi can any one help have had car for a week and a bit, map light swiches in dark dont light up like the other swiches should they

Mine don't light up either; but there is a little blue light which helps you locate them; find they're pretty easy to get. Not to mention I THINK you should only be using them whilst stationary.
