If you are referring to the main RPM dial, it is backlit with white LEDs while the blue colour is due to the colouring of the dial itself. You cannot change that to red. The Type R, of course, has a red-coloured dial with white LEDs backlighting it.
The needles have their own light source and since they are coloured white you can probably give them any hue you like. The digital speedo and the info panel next to it are just white LED-backlit LCDs and can again, in theory, be given a different colour. |

Yea now that would be cool..!
I've seen the red in the CTR's and must admit I like it better but until I can afford one I'll have to wait n settle with the blue glow..Unless someone can show how to change to the red glow but I think it would be a major op..which will end up in more rattles n squeaks than before..! |

Have a look at a Type R. The dashboard lighting is red, but it should give you a decent impression nonetheless. However keep in mind that the center RPM dial is best left alone, as orange with a blue filter just looks, well, kind of dull brown. Unless you can swap it for a Type R unit.

It will look really bad IMO.
The colours all come from the dials themselves. If you backlight the main rev counter with orange, it will mix badly with the blue and look rather odd. If you use LEDs, they are monchromatic and will not pass through any coloured filter other than white or their own colour. That would make any coloured parts of the instruments look blackish. |
