12K kms and my drivers side fog lamp is broken. Got it replaced by my dealer at a cost of 200 euro. However, i now see that there seems to be a trend of fog light lens breakages among civics. Can we all be THAT unlucky???

Joining the club...

Number broken: 1
Age of car: 3 weeks
Mileage: ~2000 km
When driving, or "it just appeared": "it just appeared" but must have been while driving.
Cost of replacement: not yet know
Broken on the driver's side = left
Picture

Noticed it this Friday after driving home from work trip (~190kms round trip). Must have happened during it as the broken glass easily gives in when I poked it. Unfortunately could not call dealer as the clock was just past their closing time... Taped it with clear packaging tape and will call next Monday . After inspecting it the only possible rock impact point is the leftmost tip of the glass IF there were any! The darker spot near left corner is not a hole, just a piece of glass in different angle...

PS. Oops, you can really see my first (sloppy) waxing job
on the plastic trims Not used to the plastic parts -> concentrated on the painted surfaces...

Number broken:1 passenger side
1.8 Sport
Age of car: 10 months (Happened July 07)
Mileage: 12000 km
Cost to replace: £120 at Phoenix Honda Linwood

Returned home from the north of Scotland (280 miles down the notorious A9) to find it like all the other pictures, mine did actually have a huge hole in the centre 33%

The lamp still worked, needless to say Phoenix Honda kept that for themselves....

I have had two Fog Lamps break in 6 months....
Number broken: Two
Age of car: 18 months
Mileage: 30K
Wfirst one noticed whilst cleaning, and second one was noticed when filling up with fuel.
Cost of replacement: £173 for first, about £80 for second.
Did not take photo, but identical to that shown.

Now have Gray's Covers, problem with these is that if kids want to take them, they only have to pull them off, leaving covers exposed resulting in potential for same expensive repairs!!

Use my cunning worldwide patented plan.
:-----------
Clear Fablon, so easy to fit, make a c-ck up and just peel off, clean glass with white spirit and cut another one.
Can hardly notice it. We are talking only pence per lens here.
